there are still new developments on Covid-19, also known as Coronavirus, every week. Due to this we like to share some information about us, the company situation and your (future) bookings.

Company Info
Most importantly we are still here and we are healthy. Some of our main crew is still aboard and we manage to support them financially as well as with food and social insurances. 

Truthfully it is nowhere near the usual financial amounts but we manage to be optimistic and maintain both our spirits and Moana herself.

We didn't conduct any regular trip since the end of March 2020 but thanks to some private financial support we'll make it through these remarkable times.

In fact we are ready to start operating. Moana is in excellent shape and just waiting to go diving in Komodo again.

Yet, we do not know when Indonesia re-opens.

Unfulfilled / Open Bookings
If you still have an ongoing booking we like to thank you for your patience and support. Thank you very much for waiting for the situation to be more clear and stable. It is because of you that we are optimistic and so excited to welcome you again aboard our beautiful Moana.

For the time being we like to share our fair terms regarding your open booking and how to continue mutially:

• there is no expiration on your unfulfilled booking.
• once Indonesia is open for tourism we contact you to talk about the next steps.
• subject to our scheduled trips and availability you choose your best new trip.
• there are no extra costs if the trip length of the new trip is the same as the old trip.
• longer trips require coverage of the extra nights based on the 2021 pricing.
• for shorter trips the price will reduce accordingly.
• future payments are based on the new trip dates and agreed upon with the new booking confirmation.

Future Bookings & Voucher Purchases
We are open for business.

We cannot cruise these days on a regular schedule however we can fulfil charter requests if you are already in Indonesia. Also we are potentially able to choreograph individual requests and group you together to conduct a trip or two. Again you need to be in Indonesia for this already.

And there is another, really great way to work together and support each other. Purchase a non-expiring trip voucher.

How can I use the voucher?
Once Indonesia is open again for tourism we will get in touch with you and simply arrange the best trip for you then based on our scheduled trips and availability.

You can support us - and especially the crew - in a big way. Purchase the non-expiring trip voucher for a great price.

Vouchers are available on limited quantity. Redemption is subject to availability. Individual vouchers can be used on different trips. Conducting a full charter is subject to our trip calendar.

Thoughts and Appreciation from the Owner
Thank you once again for your interest about Moana Cruising and reading these words.

The time since the end of March 2020 has been marked with many ups and downs for millions or billions of people. That was of no difference to us.

I am personally very proud of my crew, office team and senior management who have been with me for many years by now. Your loyalty and commitment before Covid and during Covid is special. Your dedicated work allowed us cater to hundreds of guests each year and put a big smile on their faces. The emotions and feelings we sparked in all of our guests is why we do what we do.

And because of you, our guests, my team and I can have a good life too, with good and sustainable income.

Since I am involved with Moana Cruising I was able to introduce social securities and health insurances, increase the salary above average, pay school fees for my crew's children as well as provide simply a great, fun and stable work environment. I am very happy, grateful and proud of that. 

I am excited to see all of this and more return to the team of Moana Cruising. 

Dear Guest, with your support in the past, nowadays and in the future I am able to put a smile on your face too, organising a memorable holiday with my team and provide stable work positions for them.

Moana Cruising consists of 15-17 Indonesian staff with another 25 family members. We work with 20+ freelancers and food / beverages providers, laundry, cargo support, outside technicians and repair / spare part shops who themselves support their families and children. Not to forget our annual local dry dock and wood workers from villages in Sulawesi with their families, too.

Moana Cruising supports and has been the center of livelihood for easily 200+ people.

I feel it's my task and mission to continue this path and to make it through these remarkable times even stronger. 

The word 'crisis' stems from Greek meaning 'turning point'. That resonates with me a lot. The majority of the past 14 months were marked with uncertainties and forced us to live more in the now because back then there were changes and political developments almost daily. We couldn't change those circumstances but we can respond to each new event consciously. I strongly believe that this creates a good life. The ability to respond consciously, the respons-ability, is powerful. We can decide how we use this as a turning point. 

The past 15 month have been interesting, joyful, crazy, sad, happy, fearful, tough, sleepless, wonderful, exciting, insightful,....and yet I am deeply grateful and have an enormous amount of fun and deep love doing what I do and I intend to continue with it many years to come.
